Tarek Muhammad has spent more than 15 years practising public and private law, with criminal defence, international law, extradition, compliance and sanctions at the core of his work. Many of his matters span several jurisdictions and involve ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI), multinational companies or public authorities.
He has led complex cross-border litigation and arbitration, represented clients facing extradition and developed legal strategies together with counsel in other countries. A significant part of his practice concerns compliance: designing compliance frameworks, reducing legal risk and guiding clients through requirements created by UN, EU and OFAC sanctions.
Tarek earned his LL.B. at Damascus University and holds advanced certificates in International Arbitration, Regulatory Compliance and Transnational Litigation. He works in Arabic, English and French and contributes to legal journals and international forums on sanctions law, international cooperation and criminal enforcement.
For clients operating in high-risk, geopolitically sensitive environments, he offers solutions shaped around their situation, with a firm commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and professional ethics.

As a Senior Legal Advisor, he handles multi-jurisdictional cases — including work for UHNWI clients and cross-border investigations — and advises on strategic management of legal risk in high-risk jurisdictions.
