Ms Zivla earned her LLB from the University of Cyprus and further honed her expertise with an LLM in Criminal Justice from Queen Mary University of London. She was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association on July 1, 2022.

Ms. Zivla’s contribution, titled “Γυναικοκτονία: Ορισμός, ποινικοποίηση, βρασμός ψυχικής ορμής. Μια αντιπροσωπευτική συγκριτική αξιολόγηση” (translated as Femicide: Definition, Criminalisation, the Heat of the Moment. A Representative Comparative Assessment), is a groundbreaking scholarly achievement as the first of its kind to analyse the crime of Femicide under the Cyprus Criminal Code. Published in the book Femicide and Criminal Law by Charis Papacharalambous, Ms. Zivla’s article offers a comprehensive comparative analysis, shedding light on how Cyprus’s legal system addresses Femicide, and it contributes crucial insights to the global discourse on enhancing legal frameworks to protect women from gender-based violence.
